Emmett Eston Baker, Jr., 70, of12260 Hasty Road died Wednesday, March 19, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel officiated by the Rev. Dr. Tom Dendy. Burial will be in Hillside Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Crews Baker; a brother, Jack Baker and wife, Margaret of Laurinburg; a niece, Ruth Lytch and husband, Keith of Laurinburg; a great niece, Maggie Lytch of Laurinburg.
Born December 24, 1922 in Laurinburg, he was a son of the late Emmett E. and Ruth Cowan Baker. Emmett was a baseball and football player at Laurinburg High School and played on the high schoola
