Emma Neal Maddox, 94, passed away Friday, January 4.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Monday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
She is survived by a sister, Annie Laurie Smith of Laurinburg; two nieces, Pat Culp and Judy Lee of Charlotte; a nephew, Tommy Maddox of Greensboro; several great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces.
Born November 5, 1918 in Laurinburg, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Cora Beasley Maddox. For 45 years she was a shipping clerk for Waverly Mills, and following her retirement she assisted Jack and Tink Rushing at Village Cleaners. Later she served many years as a hostess at General McArthur's Restaurant.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Scotland County, PO Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC 28353.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
