Mrs. Elsie Dunn "Gaga" McInnis, 88, died Thursday at the Edwin Morgan Center.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the First Presbyterian Church officiated by the Rev. Robert Dendy. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will follow the burial at the McLean Fellowship Hall at the church.
She is survived by a son, LaVerne "Mac" McInnis, Jr. and wife, Mary of Laurinburg; a daughter, Linda Henderson and husband, Mac of Maxton; a brother, Cecil Dunn of Fayetteville; two sisters, Annie Ruth Jackson and Betty Lou Norton of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Nellie Davant and husband, Westcott of Charlotte, Jennifer Wiggins and husband, Allen of Chapel Hill; and Andy McInnis of Laurinburg; great grandchildren, Gus Wiggins and Harper Wiggins of Chapel Hill, and Ella McLeod Davant of Charlotte.
Born June 24, 1921 in Robeson County, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Nellie Bennett Dunn and widow of the late LaVerne "Mac" McInnis. She served as a sales associate for Sears in Laurinburg for over 25 years. She was also an active member of the First Presbyterian and enjoyed gardening, sports, crossword puzzles, and her family; especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
