Eloise Gibson Wright, 88, passed away Monday, May 18.
A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Hillside Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Buddy Wright (Mary Lou) and Michael Wright of Maxton; her daughter, Ellen Wright of Laurinburg; her brother in law, George Wright (Joanne) of Laurinburg, her grandchildren, Sharon Covington, Tracy Covington, and Sarah Willingham, and 3 great grandchildren.
Born June 20, 1926 in the Snead's Grove section of Scotland County, she was a daughter of the late Edward Livingston and Lula Peele Gibson, and widow of the late E. C. Wright. She served for 37 ½ years in the engineering department of Southern Bell, later AT&T. As long as her health permitted, she was an active member of Central United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was a member of the United Methodist Women.
Memorials are requested for Central United Methodist Church, PO Box 397, Laurinburg, NC 28353.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at 12480 Richardson Rd., Laurinburg.
