Ellen Radford Weeks

Ellen Radford Weeks, age 67, passed away peacefully at Morrison Manor on Sunday, November 23, 2014.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 26th at New Hope Baptist Church, 11480 Hasty Road, Laurinburg, North Carolina. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 25th at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
She was born in Laurinburg, North Carolina on March 13, 1947 to the late William and Margaret Radford.
She is survived by her husband, James (Jimmy) Weeks, of 45 years; two sons, Jason Weeks (Sharon) and James Brandon Weeks (Tasha). She was blessed with one granddaughter, Taylor Weeks, and two grandsons, Brady Weeks and Nathan Weeks, all of Laurinburg.
She is also survived by a brother Jerry McGee (Linda) and two sisters, Brenda Wright (Edward) and Helen (Lucy) Guinn (Roy), all of Laurinburg.
She was a faithful and founding member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was a member of the Growing Friendship Club and was faithful to the In-As-Much Ministries by writing on each bag weekly, "Jesus Loves You". She loved talking and sharing with others how each day was a gift of God's love to her. During her last days, she would say, "I am fine….don't worry about me, as I know where I am going and on Sunday she met her Master, the
Lord Jesus Christ, with praises and in perfect health.
Ellen was employed at J. P. Stevens, Wagram, North Carolina for 38 years, until her health began to decline.
