Ella "Carolyn" Latham

Ella “Carolyn” Latham, 69, of Troy passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at her residence.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2022 at New Covenant Church, officiated by Rev. Carl Burrow.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Born May 9, 1953, in Montgomery County, she is a daughter of the late Ira and Mary Blanche Hudson Cagle. Carolyn was the most loving, caring, mom and grandmother.  She never met a stranger and would do anything for anyone. Carolyn always made everyone laugh, and she will be missed more than words can say.

She is survived by her son, Charles Cagle of the home; daughters, Susan Lassiter (Johnny) of Troy, Samantha Latham of Star, and Heather Collare (Dylan) of Albemarle; sisters, Christine Strider of Troy, Rachel Hill of Abner; brothers, Danny Cagle of Jackson Springs, Don Cagle of Asheboro, and Jeff Cagle; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Latham; daughter, Sherry Sheffield; brothers, Charles Edward Cagle, Tim Cagle, Travis Cagle, Odell Cagle, David Cagle, Vicky Cagle, and Jerry Cagle; and sister, Mary Sue Cagle Leffew.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service.
