Mrs. Elizabeth Shaw "Lib" Pearson, 79, of 14860 Hargrave Street died Tuesday, October 24, at Scotland Memorial Hospital.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Laurel Hill United Methodist Church officiated by the Rev. Carol Noy and Dr. Rodger Decker. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
She is survived by two sons, Ricky Pearson and wife, Jo Ann of Laurel Hill, Jerry Pearson and wife, Wanda of Laurinburg; two sisters, Eugenia Staples of Charlotte, NC and Betty Grissom of Fayetteville, NC; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Pearson.
She was born May 16, 1927 in Bladen County, NC and was a daughter of the late Homer and Susie Sellars Shaw. She was a loyal, lifelong member of the Laurel Hill United Methodist Church. She was retired from Westpoint Stevens after 36 years as the payroll manager.
