Laurinburg
Eileen Chriscoe Blalock, 66, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012 at her home.
A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Laurinburg Presbyterian Church officiated by Rev. Dr. Neal Carter and a eulogy by Paul Lemmond. Visitation will follow in the church fellowship hall.
She is survived by her husband, J. R. "Buddy" Blalock of the home; two sons, David Blalock (Lisa) of Wagram, N.C., and Kevin Blalock (Liz) of Arden, N.C.; her father, Clarence Chriscoe of Wagram; one brother, Johnny Chriscoe (Susan) of Angier, N.C.; and four grandchildren, Hailey and Reece Blalock, and Greta and Anna Griswold.
Born February 11, 1946 in Troy, N.C., she was also the daughter of the late Virginia Spivey Chriscoe. She and two other NC Highway Patrol wives were the founders and charter members of the NC Highway Patrol Auxiliary, a support group for the Highway Patrol. She also formerly served in mental health while living in Black Mountain and in Laurinburg.
