Mrs. Effie Mae Norton Cofell, 81, died Saturday, November 28, 2009 at her home.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Huckabee grove Emmanuel Holiness Church officiated by the Revs. Larry Singletary and Wayman "Buzz" Hill. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
She is survived by two sons, Ray Cofell and Danny Cofell and wife, Diane of Laurinburg; a daughter, Judy Leviner of Wagram; 13 grandchildren, Dahlia, Jamie, Adam, April, Brandy, Ashley, Lathan, Selena, danny, Jr., Jennifer, Susan, Aaron, and Alan; eight great grandchildren, Katlyn, Austin, Gracie, McKayla, Mason, Kaleb, Treyce, and Destinee.
Born July 12, 1928 in Scotland County, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Alan and Minnie Bullard Norton and widow of the late Marvin Cofell. She served West Point/Stevens as an inspector from 1963 until her retirement in 1990. Effie also enjoye fishing, gardening and bingo.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Monday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
