Edward "Eddie" Lee Holt

Edward “Eddie” Lee Holt, 78, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 29, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by Pastor Monty Clark. Burial will follow at Southside Cemetery with Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Born July 12, 1945, in Lee County, he was a son of the late James Cleat and Lucy Cole Holt. Eddie served his country for 4 years while in the US Navy. Eddie was a member of the Masons at the Blackmer Lodge in Mt. Gilead and The Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Southern Jurisdiction, of Charlotte. He was also the owner/operator of Eddie's Amoco in Troy. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends on the golf course, enjoyed running his restaurant, The Beverage Station, in Garden City, SC, and spending time at the beach. Eddie enjoyed riding his Harley and driving his TR-3.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Vicki Cline Holt, of Thomasville. He is preceded in death by his son, Larry Richard Holt, and his brother, James Cleat Holt, Jr.
