Mr. Edward L. Berry, 54, of 168 Strickland Lane finished his course in faith on Friday, September 22, at his home.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Sunday at the Blenheim Community Church officiated by the Rev. Harry Clark. Burial will follow in the Berry Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lucy Polston Berry; three daughters, Angela (Wesley) Jones and Melissa (Jose) Luna of Blenheim, and Deborah Berry of Laurinburg, NC; four brothers, Wilbur (Myrtle) Berry of Latta, Carlysle (JoAnn) Berry of North Myrtle Beach, Carl Berry of Holden Beach, NC, and Oscar (Mary) Berry of Latta; six sisters, Gladys Haynes of Mullins, Isla Mae Ward and Margaret (Frank) Blanton of Longs, Evelyn (Eugene) Platt of North Myrtle Beach, Pauline (Jack) Williams of Marion, and Ailian (Jerry) Cooper of Blenheim; two grandchildren, Celina Luna and Jose Luna, Jr. of Blenheim.
Born May 6, 1952 in Dillon County, he was a son of the late Amos and Illa Mae Rouse Berry. He was a served as a police officer for 18 years and was Chief of Police for more than 12 years in Clio. He was also a certified bloodhound tracker and a member of the SC Sheriffs Association. He was also a member of the Wagram Church of God.
