Mrs. Edna McColl Thompson, 87, of Scotia Village died Thursday, April 13, at her residence.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Caledonia United Methodist Church officiated by the Rev. Hobart Burnside. Burial will follow in Caledonia Cemetery.
She is survived by three sons, Hugh Richard 'Dick' Thompson and John Edward Thompson of Charlotte, and Robert Samuel 'Bob' Thompson of Matthews; a daughter, Sarah Ellen Thompson Makepeace of Chattanooga, TN; a sister, Louise McColl of Greenwood, SC; 8 greandchildren.
Born July 10, 1912 in Marlboro County, she was a daughter of the late Hugh C. and Lula McIntyre McColl and widow of the late Woodrow Thompson. She was active in the Scotland County extension Homemakers where she was a district chairperson and also the Scotch Gardeners.

Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Friday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
