Mrs. Edith Spencer "Polly" Gibson, 77, of 605 Midland Way died Tuesday, August 5, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. Stan Smith and Rev. Nancy Willard. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.

She is survived by her husband, Zeb Gibson; two sons, Tommy Gibson and wife, Debbe, of Albemarle and Mike Gibson and wife, Lisa, of Greenville; three brothers, Bob Spencer and wife, Becky, of Laurinburg; Jesse Spencer and wife, Tot, of Rockingham, and Lindo Spencer and wife, Margie, of Tarboro; a sister, Mary Williams of Laurinburg; four grandchildren.

Born April 8, 1926 in Hamlet, she was a daughter of the late Walter J. and Willie Brigman Spencer. An active member of the First United Methodist Church, she was the former coordinator of the J.O.Y. Club, now known as the Ageless Wonders for 22 years, a life member of the Womena
