Edith Adalaide Breese Laviner, age 81, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at her home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Spring Hill Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Matt Harmon. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
She is survived her husband, Dannie Hugh Laviner; a son, Warren Lexkowitz (Diane) of Bricktown, NJ; three daughters, Anna Marie Newkirk (Dave) of Avondale, AZ, Karen Staffieri (Mike) of Chesterfield, VA, and Cindy Sharpe (Robert) of Wagram; two step-sons, Ronnie Laviner (Barbara) of Topsail Island and Lindsay Laviner (Phyllis) of Laurinburg; a step-daughter, Debra Laviner of Wagram; a brother, Harold Breese of NJ; three sisters, Katherine Diorio, Emma Moreland, and Mary Kinney of NJ; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Lloyd and nine siblings.
Born November 27, 1929 in Highstown, NJ, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Emma Breese. She enjoyed raising flowers, assisting at the nutrition center, sewing, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Memorials may be made to Spring Hill Baptist Church, PO Box 195, Wagram, NC 29396.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
