Mrs. Edith Hogan Hudson, 87, of 1311 Muse St. Laurinburg died Wednesday, September 20, 2006 in Morrison Manor.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday at Old Laurel Hill Presbyterian Church officiated by the Rev. Howard Whitehurst. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
Born July 1, 1919 in Scotland County, NC a daughter of the late William Thomas and Lucy Caulder Hogan. She was a member of Old Laurel Hill Presbyterian Church. Edith was a retired weaver and had worked with Scotland Mills, Springs Mills and retired from JP Stevens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Ray Hudson.
She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Chavis and wife, Jo of Atlanta, Harry Chavis and wife, Becky of Cheraw, SC and Ronald Chavis and wife, Lois Ann of Laurinburg. Also surviving are six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and a brother John Thomas "J.T." Hogan.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7-9 at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium in Laurinburg.
