Mr. Earnest Taylor, 67, of Cedar Trace Landing died Saturday, November 22, at his residence.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Springfield Pentecostal Holiness Church officiated by the Rev. J. B. Loving. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park with the Rev. Ronald Moore officiating.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda Jones Taylor; two sons, Jerry Taylor of Laurinburg and Edward Taylor of Gibson; a daughter, Teresa Robinson of Laurinburg; three brothers, Ed Taylor of Laurinburg, Harry Taylor of Denver, NC, and Howard Taylor of Statesville; 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Hervey Taylor.

Born November 11, 1936 in Scotland County, he was a son of the late Peter and Lessie Brigman Taylor. For over 30 years he was a truck driver and 25 of those years he was with Pilot Freight. Earnest also enjoyed fishing and cooking.

Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Monday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
