Dustin Michael Burr

Dustin Michael Burr, born on September 23, 1991, in Chesterfield County, South Carolina, passed away on December 12, 2025, at Scotland Memorial Hospital. He was 34 years old.

Dustin was known for his humble spirit, infinite kindness, and ability to connect with everyone in his presence. He worked at Maxway and Quality Inn, where he developed lasting friendships and consistently brightened the days of those around him.

A lover of music, Dustin found joy in playing his guitar, creating a rhythm that resonated with his passion for life. He also enjoyed reading and gaming, interests that provided him with substantial enjoyment and connection to others. His personality had a unique way of drawing people together.

Dustin is survived by his mother, Joyce Burr Taylor, of the home, and his father, Eric Taylor, of Society Hill, SC. He also leaves behind his sister, Emily Taylor Moore, and her husband Henry, of Cheraw, SC. His beloved niece, Addyson Jane, of Cheraw, SC, brought immense joy to his life. Additionally, he is remembered by "Ms. B" Barbara Hicks, of the home, and a circle of family including his aunts, Brenda Blake (Dan) of Alabama, Betty Hamer (Arthur) of Tatum, SC, and uncles Robert Melton (Joyce) of Ellerbe, Billy Burr of Bennettsville, SC, and Jason Taylor of Cheraw. The numerous cousins that Dustin held dear will also cherish his memory.

Dustin was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Louise Burr; paternal grandparents, Lester and Nancy Taylor; and maternal aunt, Fonnie Diane Burr.

A Celebration of Life will be held on December 21, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Marlboro Golf and Recreation Complex, located at 404 Country Club Drive, Bennettsville, SC 29512. This gathering will serve as a tribute to his vibrant spirit and the lasting impact he has made on the lives of those who knew him.
