Mrs. Dorothy Lozier Popelka, 87, of Scotia Village died Monday, December 2, at Scotia Village.

A memorial service will be later in Netcong, NJ.

She is survived by a son, Robert J. Popelka and wife, Lynn of Popelka, NJ; two daughters, Joan Romono and husband, Paul of Hackettshown, NJ and Gail McLean and husband, Sam of Laurinburg; a brother, Lambert Lozier of Laurinburg; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Born October 8, 1915 in Buddlake, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Holland and Carolina Louise Oeden Lozier. She was retired as a secretary, serving with Mutual of New York, a high school, and a school superintendent.

Dorothy was an active Girl Scouts leader and loved the outdoors. Among her favorite hobbies were canoeing, swimming, fishing, and yard work.
