A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Monday at Scotia Village officiated by the Rev. Wil I. Jackson.
Mrs. Wood was a very active member of grace United Methodist Church in Wilmington where she was a member of the choir and served on the Altar Guild of the church before moving to Laurinburg in 1989. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a meber of Delta Kappa Gamma, and was retired from teaching public schools for 45 years.
She is survived by a sister, Birginia Peay of Dunwoody, GA and a brother, A. J. David of washington, SC.
