Doris Peele Pickels, 64, died suddenly Friday, November 19, at Scotland Memorial Hospital.
A graveside service will be 3 p.m. Monday, November 22, at Hillside Memorial Park.
She is survived by her son, Keith Pickels of Laurinburg; her daughter, Tracy Sheppard of Washington, NC; her brother, Dennie Peele of Washington state; her sister, Jane Callahan of Laurinburg; her granddaughter, Samantha Sheppard of Washington, NC.
Born July 14, 1946 in Richmond County, she was a daughter of the late Woodrow and Velna Peele and widow of the late Wayne Pickels. Doris was a retired assistant Scotland County Register of Deeds for 22 years.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday, November 21, at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
