Donna Marie Peyton Scrivnor, age 72, of Laurinburg, passed away Friday, March 27, 2026 at Scottish Pines Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Hillside Memorial Park, officiated by Jason Buffkin. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium.

Donna was born on June 28, 1953, in Charlotte, North Carolina and she was a daughter of the late Albert and Dorothy Hill Peyton. Donna worked in hospitality as a waitress and cook. She enjoyed reading mystery novels and doing word searches. She attended Westside Baptist Church when her health permitted.

She is survived by her sons, Allen and Christopher Scrivnor of the home; brother, Michael Cowdin; and sister, Lynn.

She is preceded in death along with her parents; by her husband, William Scrivnor, II; brother, Albert Peyton; and sisters, Mary Peyton Musselwhite and Kim Gibson.

Donna will be remembered for her giving nature and willingness to put others needs before her own.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations may be made to the Laurinburg Cancer Center, 500 Lauchwood Dr, Laurinburg, NC 28352 or Scottish Pines Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, 620 Johns Rd, Laurinburg, NC 28352.
