Donald Jerry Wright

Donald Jerry Wright, age 63, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025 his residence. Known for his fun-loving spirit and goofy nature, Donald was truly one in a million. He was a dependable individual, renowned not only for his intelligence but also for his tough demeanor.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium Chapel.

Born on June 23, 1962, in Appling County, GA, he was a son of the late Willie James Wright and Azalea Mullis Wright.

Donald cherished his family, along with spending quality time with them. His love for music, fishing, grilling, and dancing brought joy to his life and the lives of those around him. He enjoyed engaging conversations with friends, building connections that lasted throughout the years.

He is survived by his beloved wife of two years, Ann Mauldin Wright of the home; his children, DJ "Jr." Wright (Amanda) of the home, Jennifer Locklear of Laurel Hill, and Ashley Wright of Laurinburg; his siblings, Willie James Wright, Jr. (Phyllis) of Delaware, Linda Louise Wright Campbell of Georgia, and Virginia Wright Bryant (Chuck) of Hendersonville, NC; his step-daughter, Nikkie Patterson; his grandchildren, Samantha, Adrian, Jaylon, Tommy, Austin, Daniel, Nathaniel, and Maddison; his great-grandchildren, Dream, Legend, Jayton, Adrian, and two more who are on the way; his step-grandchildren, Little Bit and AJ; his favorite nephew, Virgil Adam; and his best friend, Alden Ford of Rockingham, and his friends at PPM in Bennettsville. Donald was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Lamar Wright; and his sister, Shirley Ann Wright Turner.
