Don E Baker

We have lost a true warrior, a PURPLE HEART recipient.  After having fought the effects of the Vietnam War for many years, he has lost his final battle.

Don E. Baker (1936-2025) passed on June 26 2025.

A military service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

After his Air Force career was ended, he embarked on a career of life safety engineering.  Don loved NASCAR, traveling, and working jigsaw puzzles.  Anybody that ever met him, would never forget him.

Don is survived by his wife of 35 plus years, Nancy L. Naylor; sister, Kathy Baker Stokhuag and husband Denny; sisters-in-law, Deborah Whann and Karen Mausser as well as all of his blended family members; Dawn Lynn Baker Jackson and husband Marvin “Butch”, Dana L. Baker Peterson and husband Craig, David L. Baker and wife, April, Judy L. Hunt Bledsoe and husband Brent, CarrieAnn Naylor Macy and husband Robert, Teresa Maddox Young and husband Steve, fourteen grandkids, fifteen great-grandkids, and many special cousins, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, James C. Baker and Ruth Seighman Baker; sister, Joann Baker Ward and husband, James; previous wife, Rimiko Baker; grandson, Christopher and great granddaughter, Trudy: as well as many other cherished relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any military support organization.
