Dianne Maness Vuncannon

Dianne Maness Vuncannon, 77, of Star, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 22, 2026 at her residence.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Wesleyan Church in Troy, officiated by Dr. Ed Lindsey. Burial will follow at Love Joy Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at the First Wesleyan Church.

Born January 26, 1949, in Randolph County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Eugene, Sr. and Myrtle Hamiliton Maness. Dianne loved her family and especially enjoyed trips and gatherings at the family pond.

She is survived by her daughter, Amy Vuncannon of Star; sons, Jimmy Vuncannon (Amy) and Danny Vuncannon (Andrea) of Star; brothers, Joseph Eugene Maness, Jr. (Cathy) and Eddie Maness (Donna), both of Star; sister-in-law, Brenda Byrd (Doug) of Troy; grandchildren, Emily Vuncannon, Timothy Vuncannon, Rachel Vuncannon, and Jacob Vuncannon, all of Star; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband, James H. “Jim” Vuncannon.
