Dianne (Britt) Harris

Dianne Harris passed away peacefully at Scottish Pines on September 25, 2023, at the age of 93.

Services will be private at Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville.

Born on May 27, 1930, in Cook County, IL, she was a daughter of the late Leon and Thelma Wade Britt.

Dianne was the owner of Ackerman Furniture, a business she nurtured and grew.  As a business owner, she was known for her fairness and generosity, attributes that made Ackerman Furniture a beloved local establishment.  Her entrepreneurial spirit was equally matched by her artistic talents, as she also taught piano lessons, sharing her love for music with many students over the years. Dianne's passion for music was only surpassed by her love for reading, a pastime that provided her with great joy. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Ackerman, of Charleston, SC; her sister, Betty Clatterbaugh (John) of Richmond, VA; her granddaughter, Meredith Lachin (David) of New Orleans, LA; and her great-grandchildren, Maxwell and John Lachin.
