Dewey "Allen" Bass

Dewey “Allen” Bass, 55, of Troy passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at his residence.

Born September 16, 1967, in Harnett County, he is a son of Danny and Letha Callicutt. Allen was a wonderful husband, father, and paw paw. He had a heart of gold, and he never met a stranger. Allen enjoyed fishing, drag racing, and camping.

Along with his parents, he is survived by his wife of 35 years, Leaann Cagle Bass of the home; sons, Jason Saunders (Charity), Danny Bass (Tabitha), and Michael Bass (Jennifer) all of Troy; brothers, Tim Bass (Donna) of Clinton, NC, and Daniel Callicutt of Troy; sister, Tonya Callicutt of Troy; and nine grandkids. He is preceded in death by his brother, Rodney Dennis.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2022 at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by Rev. Wayne Lisenby. Burial will follow at Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery in Star.
