Mrs. Delores Stone Barber, 71, of 9660 Old Wire Road died Sunday, August 27, at Scotland Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Presbyterian Church in the Pines officiated by the Rev. Diane Freelander. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
Born September 26, 1934 in Scotland County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie P. and Catherine Horne Stone. She was a long time Home Economics teacher at Scotland High School.
She is survived by her husband, Lauder Eugene "Gene" Barber; a daughter, Annette Pierce and husband, Tim of Laurel Hill; a brother, Kenny Stone of Parrotsville, TN; an uncle, Linwood Horne of Fayetteville; a grandson, Nolan Pierce of Laurel Hill.
Memorials may be made to the Church in the Pines, PO Box 67, Laurel Hill, NC 28351.
Visitation will be 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
