David Durand "Randy" Dow, 73, passed away Monday, December 15, at Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Snead's Grove United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
He is survived by his son, David D. Dow, Jr. (Amber) of Greensboro; his sister, Jean Scott of Lumberton; his grandchildren, Delaney Dow and David Dow of Greensboro.
A native of Lumberton, Randy was born December 6, 1941 to the late David B. and Flora Bacot Dow. He served as a salesman for Herman's Tire & Appliances and as co-owner and operator of Brenda's Florist.
Randy was gifted with the ability to work with his hands and enjoyed woodworking. He also loved fishing with his son and trips to Oak Island. His two trips across the USA driving his motorcycle were always his favorite topics of conversation.
Memorials are requested for Alzheimer's Association of Eastern NC, 3739 National Dr., Ste. 110, Raleigh, NC 27612.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
