David "Buster" Carson Shepherd

David “Buster” Carson Shepherd, 74 of Troy, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at his home.

A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at the Troy Wesleyan Church, officiated by Rev. Randy Haithcock. Burial will follow in Greene Parsons Cemetery.

Born December 10, 1944 in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Walker and Monnie Greene Shepherd. After serving in the National Guard, he owned and operated Shepherd Logging Co. He was a hardworking man. Work was his hobby and he loved his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rena Fee Shepherd of the home; his children, Rhonda Johnson of Southport, Chris Shepherd (Christy) and Daniel Shepherd (Kerri) all of Troy; sixteen grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, David H. Shepherd, brothers, Larry Shepherd and Gary Shepherd, and sister, Catha Tyson.

A visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Troy Wesleyan Church.
