Darthea Smith Wilcox

Darthea Smith Wilcox, 89 of Laurinburg, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Scotia Village. At her request, there will be no service.

Born March 12, 1929, in Germantown, PA, she was a daughter of the late D’Arcy and Dorothy Grant Smith.  She taught first and second grade for many years in Souderton School District in Pennsylvania before moving to Laurinburg in 1995.  Darthea enjoyed quilting, sewing and was an avid dog lover.

She is survived by her son, Andrew Scott Wilcox of Morristown, PA; her daughter, Barbara Ali of Covington, GA; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Wilcox.

McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium is serving the Wilcox family.
