Danny Dean Henschen, 81, of Laurinburg, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026 at Scotland Regional Hospice.
A memorial service, with masonic rites, will be held at Old Laurel Hill Presbyterian Church on Monday, January 5, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Rev. Robert E. Button.
Born January 4, 1944, in Auglaize County, Ohio, he was a son of the late Verlin and Pauline Poppe Henschen. Danny was a Stationary Engineer in the paper industry.
Danny enjoyed singing in the choir at his church and was part of the Shriners Hillbillies. He liked steam engines, tractors, and he raised Peacocks. Danny was a member of the Laurinburg Masonic Lodge #305 and the Eastern Star in Aberdeen.
He is survived by his children, Paula Lynch of the home, Diana Clark (Barger) and Timothy Henschen, both of Tennessee; grandchildren, Gwen Lucio (Mario), Katrina Poston (Derrick) and Ryan Clark, all of Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Abbie Lucio and Nick Lucio, Keelie Hargis, and Stella Poston. He is preceded in death by his wife of 18 years, Mary Dell Henschen; and two brothers, Jim Henschen and Daniel Henschen.
