Danny Martin Dennis, 67, of Mt. Gilead passed away Friday, April 12, 2024 at his residence.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Holly Mount Baptist Church in Mt. Gilead, officiated by Tony Sedberry. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, April 19, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service.

Born December 31, 1956, in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Calvin Earl , Sr. and Fleta Yarboro Dennis. Danny loved his family and spending time with them. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and tending to his cows.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Amy Seawell Dennis of the home; step-daughter, Cherryl Tyson of Troy; daughters, Samantha Dennis and Sarah Dennis of Mt. Gilead; nieces, Letitia Dennis-Boger (Jeff) and Kim Birdsong (Ray) of Mocksville, and Lori Valkanas of Charlotte; and grandchildren, Dixie, Reagan, Carter, and one on the way. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Elon Dennis and CE Dennis.
