Daniel Thaddeus Mcdonald, Iii

Daniel Thaddeus McDonald, III passed away peacefully on March 25, 2025.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Hillside Cemetery, officiated by Rev. John Stanley.  The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery.

Daniel (Dan) was born in Scotland County on June 7, 1953, a son of the late Daniel T. McDonald, Jr. and Mary Shaw McDonald.

He is survived by his sister, Anne M. Sprouse (Danny) of Laurinburg; two nieces, Dr. Mary S. Goodwin (David) of Clayton, NC and Amanda S. Hesselmeyer (David) of Lillington, NC; and five great nieces and nephews.

Daniel enjoyed reading historical books and listening to classical music.  He was an Honor graduate of UNC Chapel Hill.  Dan was an Eagle Scout.
