Curtis Lee Thompson

Curtis Lee Thompson, 72, of Candor passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

A graveside service will be held Friday, March 21, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Bruton Family Cemetery in Candor, officiated by Tony Sedberry.

Born May 4, 1952, in Carteret County, he was a son of the late Jasper, Jr. and Louise Dew Thompson. Curtis loved fishing, spending time with his family, and lounging around. He is survived by his companion, Yvonne Campbell Thompson of the home; daughter, Rebecca Morse of the home; brothers, Gary Thompson of Candor, and Steven Cashwell of Lumberton; sisters, Sherry Simmons Saunders of Troy, Barbara Ann Brown of Robbinsville, and Judy Owens of Knightdale; step-children, Tony Howard of Candor and Yvette Patel of Concord; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Jasper Thompson and Wayne Thompson; and grandchild, Brandon Thompson.
