Cornelia A. Cosey, 77, known by most as Bobbie, passed away Tuesday April 7th, 2015 at her granddaughter's home in Harrison, AR.
Bobbie was born January 17, 1938 the daughter of Louise Mumford and Henry Deaton of Maxton, North Carolina. On April 4th, 1953 she married Henry Curtis Cosey in Bennettsville, SC. She worked at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids, IA for 35 years, while raising her family. After retiring they moved to the home they built together in Laurel Hill, NC.
She loved going dancing, camping, and mushroom hunting. She loved eating her chocolates, watching NASCAR Sprint Cup, but most of all she loved her family.
Survivors include her three daughters, Patsy (Junior) Patterson of Nichols, IA., Margret (Steve) Smith of Colfax, IA., Vickie (Rick) Garrett of Muscatine, IA., and her son Claude Cosey of Laurel Hill NC, her grandchildren BobbieJo, Anne, Samantha, Joe, Crystal, Hunter (Patterson), Natalie (Smith), Diana (Garrett), and Justin (Cosey). She had 14 great grandchildren and one on the way, and one great-great grandson. She had one sister, one brother, two sister in-laws, and many nieces and nephews.
Bobbie was preceded in death by, her husband Henry in 1998, her infant son Henry Curtis Jr., her infant daughter Anna Marie, and her infant great granddaughter AmandaJo. She was also preceded by her parents, two sisters, and one brother.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is set up at the funeral home. Visitation is Tuesday April 14th, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium. The funeral is Wednesday April 15th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at funeral home. Burial will follow in the Cosey Family Cemetery.
