Corbette Chavis

Corbette Chavis, 83, died on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Scotland Memorial Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2022 at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium Chapel.  Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Born August 8, 1939 in Scotland County, he was the son of the late Pink William and Inez Roberson Chavis.  He loved fixing things and playing his guitar.  He also enjoyed playing the piano and watching western movies.

He is survived by his sister, Erlene Passmore of Harrisburg, NC.  He is preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Gracie Lee Chavis and his brother, Carson William Chavis.
