Clyde "Tie" Malcom Blue

Clyde “Tie” Malcom Blue, 82, of Troy, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023 at Randolph Hospice House.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Forks of Little River Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Danny Vuncannon and Rev. Billy Roy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Born August 17, 1941, in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Walter and Lilly Alexander Blue. “Tie” was a dedicated member of his church, and he was an R.A. Leader as well. He was very involved in Scouts and loved children. “Tie” loved all animals, especially his dog, Cooper. He also enjoyed the beach, fishing, and gardening.

He is survived by his sons, Keith Blue (Sally) of Wilmington, NC and Malcolm Blue of the home; brother, Bill Blue (JoAnn) of Mt. Gilead; sister, Katherine Jane Ormsby of Wilmington, NC; and grandson, Branden Blue. He is preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Workman; and brothers, Bob Blue, Calvin Blue, June Blue, and James “Nook” Blue.
