Clarice Parham Warren

Mrs. Clarice Parham Warren, 89, of Scotia Village, Laurinburg and formerly of Presbyterian Home, High Point died Wednesday March 1, 2006 at Scotia Village.
Funeral services will be Monday at First Baptist Church of High Point. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.
Born July 3, 1916 on the family farm in Vance County, she was a daughter of the late Oliver and Belle Greenway Parham. She graduated from Dabney High School and Henderson School of Business in Henderson, NC. In 1948 she moved to High Point and joined the First Baptist Church a year later and began serving as a Sunday school teacher. On Dec. 11, 1949 she married Elmer Charles Warren.
Clarice worked as switchboard operator at the Henderson Hospital, and later for Dr. Tyson, Dr. Cross and Dr. Cross as a medical receptionist. The practice became one of the largest OB/GYN practices in High Point. She retired in 1987. She served as local and state president of the American Association of Medical Assistants. She was also an avid gardener bridge player and an accomplished quilter. Her husband Charles preceded her in death July 2, 1996.
She is survived by her sons Charles Stanley Warren of Raleigh and Wesley Parham Warren of Falls Church, VA; a granddaughter, Jennifer Butler and husband, Jason of Laurinburg.
McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium of Laurinburg and Sechrest Funeral Home of High Point are serving the family.
