Clarence Elisha Dowless, Jr., 89, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Hillside Cemetery officiated by the Rev. Dr. Wayne Wike.
He is survived by nine nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Dowless; and his sisters, Katherine Gibson, Nell Hudson, and Thelma LaPore.
Clarence was born July 29, 1926 in Moore County and was a son of the late Clarence E. and Sarah Agnes Dupree Dowless. He served many years as an accountant for Waverly Mills and its successors.
