Christine Marie Register McCook, 93, died Wednesday, October 14, at Scotia Village.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 24, at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Macon, GA.
She is survived by a son, Roy McCook and wife, Carolyn of Laurinburg; a sister, Wynell Bryant of Perry, GA; 6 grandchildren (including Guy McCook and wife, Flora of Laurinburg); and 13 great grandchildren.
She was born December 31, 1915 in Laurens County, GA, a daughter of the late Augustus and Addie Mullis Register and widow of the late J. A. McCook. In her early years she was employed with the Coca-Cola Company and during World War II she worked in a fuse manufacturing plant for the US Government. Afterwards, she and her husband owned and operated some grocery stores and later they kept a home for some of society's less fortunate.
She was a charter member and the oldest member of Harvest Cathedral in Macon.
