Christine (Thompson) Blue

Christine Thompson Blue, 74, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2020 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.

A private graveside service will be Monday, August 3, 2020, officiated by her nephew, Rev. Stephen Daniel Rushing. The family will hold a Celebration of Life service at a later date.

Born December 14, 1945 in Penzance Cornwall, England, she was a daughter of the late Guy and Loveday Hicks Thompson. She worked as a Program Supervisor for the Department of Corrections for many years.

She is survived by her daughters, Candice Sheryn (Paul), and Kristie Lynthacum (Donnie R.), all of Troy; her sister, Loretta Rushing of Troy; brother-in-law, Henry Nordan of Troy; sister-in-law, Sandra Blue of Biscoe; her grandchildren, Nicholas Spencer, Kadie Spencer, Camryn Lynthacum, and Allison Lynthacum; and a host of other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walton Blue.
