Pastor Charlie Ledford Locklear, 54, of 2412 Biggers Cemetery Road died Wednesday, March 15, at his home.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel officiated by the Rev. Vernon Locklear and Rev. Harold Paxton. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Church Cemetery.
Born May 13, 1951 in Scotland County, he was the son of Willie T. Locklear and the late Ginsey Nolan Locklear. He was a long time member and Pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Monroe and a professional truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Pressley Locklear; two sons, Terry Lynford Locklear of Laurel Hill and Willie Toby Locklear of Monroe; his father, Willie T. Locklear of Laurel Hill; three brothers, Hervey Locklear, Roy Locklear, and Steve Locklear of Laurel Hill; two sisters, Louise Wilkins and Marie Sanders of Laurel Hill; nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Steven Locklear; a brother, Billie Locklear and a sister, Rosa Sue Locklear.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 Friday at Faith Baptist Church in Monroe and 10-2:00 Saturday at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium in Laurinburg.
