Charles Livingston Watson

December 30, 1930 — May 7, 2011

Charles Livingston Watson was born in Greenville, N.C., and thought himself blessed to live in Riverton for most of his life.
He was known for reciting John Charles McNeills' poetry, and for his wit, and story telling art. He was an avid bridge, tennis and golfer where he got the name "Showtime". He never lost touch with his friends and when one was with him, his companion felt like he was his favorite.
Charles didn't give up easily--for example he played tennis with Donald Memory every 4th of July for 39 years and lost the match every time.
He was a keen observer.
He is survived by his loving companion, Peggy Mattox Smith, his sister, Janet Watson Zeigler, his neice, Mary McNeill Zeigler, and his nephews Charles Livingston Zeigler and John Dawson Zeigler.
