Charles Edward Quick, 68, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Monday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel. Burial will follow Hillside Memorial Park.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Strickland Quick, his son, Larry Quick (Shannon) of Laurinburg; his daughter, Doris White (Mike) of Laurinburg; his brother, Malcolm Quick of Laurel Hill, R. W. Quick of Hamlet, and Eugene Quick of Laurinburg; his sisters, Connie Robinson of Stoneville, Susan Lewis of TN, Beatrice Porter of Greensboro, Ruth Quick of Laurinburg, and Linda Crosby of Hamlet.his grandchildren, Ashley Quick, Kaylee Quick, Brandon White, and Sara White. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Catherine Usher and Carolyn Ledford.

Born October 14, 1946 in Scotland County, he was a son of the late Charlie V. and Annie Dell Jacobs Quick. He served with West Point/Stevens for over 31 years.

He thoroughly enjoyed fishing, deer and rabbit hunting, and tending his garden of turnips, collards, potatoes, and corn, but his greatest joys were his grandchildren and his dog.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
