Mr. Charles Wilson 'Mugg' Blackwell, 52, of 7903 Fletcher Road died Thursday, September 2, at his home.


A graveside service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Hillside Memorial Park officiated by the Rev. Glen Honeycutt.


He is survived by his wife, Pansy Tyson Blackwell; two sons, William Ned Pate of Laurinburg and Danny earl Pate of Mason City, IA; a sister, Sylvia Oxendine of Laurinburg; three brothers, Billy Ray Blackwell of Laurinburg, Clarence James 'Taz' Blackwell of Gibson, and Zeb Randy Blackwell of Bennettsville, SC; four grandchildren.


Born August 15, 1947 in Laurinburg, he was a son of the lateLuther J. and Ancie Dell Wilson Blackwell. He was a retired truck driver for Pilot Freight,a member of the National Rifle Association, and the Teamsters Union.


Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
