Cecil Jeffery Jr.

Cecil Jeffery Jr., 54, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at his home.

A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2021 at the Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Richard Tyson. Burial will follow in the White Creek Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Wallace, S.C. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 pm until service time in the chapel. Due to Covid-19, all attendees are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing when possible.

Born February 8, 1967 in Scotland County, he was a son of the late Cecil and Mattie Strickland Jeffery. Cecil enjoyed fishing, camping, visiting the mountains, Indian crafts, and just staying busy. He also just loved to be with family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Shannon Talbert (Shawn Cummings) of the home, Leslie Jeffery (Kenneth Jacobs) of McColl, S.C., Gina Tyson of Gibson and David Riley (Mallory) of Laurinburg; siblings, Laura Hicks (Billy) of Bennettsville, S.C., Ronald Jeffery (Leigh) of McColl, S.C. and Lisa McLaurin (Shawn) of Clio, S.C.; grandchildren, Ciara Norton, Jordan Walcott, Cameron Cummings, Chloe Elliott, Alissa Taylor, Alexis Jeffery, Arieana Jacobs, Alaiya Jacobs, Nathaniel Norris, Ginia Norris, James Riley, Alyna Riley, Nathan Riley, Chloe Russell; his fiancé, Judi Durden Broadway of Hamlet; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Susan Jeffery; nephews, Kevin Hicks and Cecil Ellis; and niece, Nevaeh Ellis.
