Mrs. Cathy Grooms Cofell, 36, of 6883 Andrew Jackson Hwy. died Saturday, August 23, at the Laurels of Chatham in Pittsboro.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel in Laurinburg officiated by the Revs. Larry Singletary and Dan Carter. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Cofell; a son, Danny Cofell, Jr. of Laurel Hill; two daughters, Jennifer Cofell of Laurel Hill and Brandy Cofell of Cummins, GA; a god child, Darian Woodard of Laurel Hill; her parents, Robert and Beulah Mae Grooms of Laurel Hill; three brothers, David Grooms of Laurinburg, Timmy Grooms of Raleigh, and Gary grooms of Wilmington; a sister, Geraldine Robertson and husband, Donnie, of Hamlet; a granddaughter, MacKayla Johnson of Cummins, GA.
She was a former employee of Wal-Mart of Laurinburg.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Monday at the McDougald Funeral Home in Laurel Hill.
