Miss Catherine Cheney, 94, died Monday, August 23, at Willow Haven Assisted Living.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Christ Episcopal Church in Greenville, Delaware. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery in Wilmington, DE.
She is survived by a bother, The Rev. George R. Cheney, Jr. of Laurinburg.
Born July 11, 1905 in Greenville, De, she was a daughter of the late George R. and Ann Knox Cheney. She taught first and second grades in the Newcastle County Schools for 45 years, retiring in 1970. She moved to Laurinburg in 1993.
