Carolyn Elizabeth Taylor Turner, 85, finished her course in faith on Saturday evening, November 5, 2011.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Northview Harvest Ministries officiated by the Rev. Kenneth Blease. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
She is survived by her daughters, Jean Heavener (Larry) of Warrensburg, MO; AnnLee Feske (Brian) of Myrtle Beach; and Sandra Nadine Maddox (Billy) of Laurel Hill; her brother, Erwin Taylor of Laurinburg; her sisters, Lena T. Smith and Dorothy Snead (Lester) of Laurinburg; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hariel; brothers, Peter Taylor, James Martin Taylor, Rufus Taylor, Archie Taylor, and Grover Taylor; sisters, Dora Bell Brigman, Annie Carter, and Evelyn Snead.
Born September 23, 1926 in Scotland County, she was a daughter of the late James H. and Eliza Ann Sessoms Taylor. She spent 50 years as a faithful employee to Springs Mills and later West Point Pepperell. Carolyn loved home cooking, flowers, working in the yard, her bird feeders, her church and church family, especially the Northview Senior Saints.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
