Carolyn H. Morris

Carolyn H. Morris passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, September 17th, 2024.

Carolyn was born on July 30th, 1929 to Sidney and Gertie Huneycutt of Troy, NC. After Carolyn graduated from Troy High School, she worked for A. Leon Capel & Sons for over 35 years.

Visitation will be held at Bumgarner Funeral Home in Troy, NC on Sunday, September 29th at 2:00pm followed by a memorial service at 3:00pm.

Carolyn met Austin Morris after high school, and they married on October 17th, 1947. In July of 1955, they added a son, Terry Austin Morris to complete their family.

Carolyn served as the church treasurer at Uwharrie Methodist Church for 25 years, where she also played the piano. She also volunteered at Troy Hospital, and helped serve meals for the West Montgomery Lions Club for many years.

Carolyn was a wonderfully devoted wife, mother, and grandma. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her son Terry (Tammy), granddaughter Carla M. Henstock (Jason), and two great granddaughters, Emma and Lucy.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Uwharrie Methodist Church.
